Some great efforts over the last 2 days. Thanks to Jodie and a long weekend. House is looking quite lovely if I must say so myself.

Thank you Dave and Dad..!

A huge thanks to Dave and Dad for the long couple of days in Christchurch in the cold, damp, not square old house.
One thing lead to another and we ended up replacing the kitchen window as well. It looks fantastic and I am very happy.
Thanks to Jodie for keeping the coffees and pies close at hand.
Thanks Mum for the hundred phone calls organising the kitchen, it is amazing and I love it. Perfect.
Would not have done this much in 3 months and would never look this good without Dad and Dave. Safe trip home.!

Exciting developments, no not that...

Yep, a change in laundry and bathroom... No further comment, just didn't quite work.
Panelling coming along but hindered by 'stuff not being square'.
Buddy has learnt to wait nicely while Mark is shopping.
Wallpaper choices, have decided...
Grass patched and sown, not sure about timing but it is now done.

Another great weeks progress

Like the coffee cup, I thought it was quite funky but not sure if I've over-done it on the paint.? Just kidding, it's awesome.
Other areas slowly starting too be finished off.

Another great weeks progress

Getting a bit tired if the house in a constant state of dust and disorder but is starting to come along quite nicely.
This week have finished off the skirtings in WC. Finished painting in hall, just put the past coat of satin clear on all the timber work. Looks quite good if I say so myself. Is not a perfect sanding job so keeping some of the 'character' from decades gone by. Very please with the result.
Just when all was nice and tidy. The living room fell under the scraper and ambitious eye of captain DIY. Big plans for this one.
All paper stripped bit a few issues with plaster... Update to come on this later all going well.
A few other yummy and cool things around the place.
Buddy's says a hello and thankou for the bone (and kennel).
Les comes in a great help again as a trailer from Bunnings.
It turns out ceiling roses and plaster arches take quite some considerable time to paint without excessive running of paint...
