Another great weeks progress

Getting a bit tired if the house in a constant state of dust and disorder but is starting to come along quite nicely.
This week have finished off the skirtings in WC. Finished painting in hall, just put the past coat of satin clear on all the timber work. Looks quite good if I say so myself. Is not a perfect sanding job so keeping some of the 'character' from decades gone by. Very please with the result.
Just when all was nice and tidy. The living room fell under the scraper and ambitious eye of captain DIY. Big plans for this one.
All paper stripped bit a few issues with plaster... Update to come on this later all going well.
A few other yummy and cool things around the place.
Buddy's says a hello and thankou for the bone (and kennel).
Les comes in a great help again as a trailer from Bunnings.
It turns out ceiling roses and plaster arches take quite some considerable time to paint without excessive running of paint...
Sorry, not sure how these blogs turn out from phone. Not sure if I can insert photos and caption each but is so much easier. So, oh well. Have a great Sunday all.

  1. I hope you are paying Jodie because every time there's a photo of her working on your house and not you (no excuses of you were behind the camera). Just wondering what a loving room is?? Looking good, see you in a few weeks time. Love D, S & I.

  2. Yes we wondered also at the 'Loving Room' - suspect the red velvet curtains will work a treat in there then....! The house is looking great - some lovely details coming through beautifully. And Buddy - well he's a charmer!
