Was great to see Dave and Stace down for the weekend.
Let's not pretend for too long, I was most excited to see and have my long awaited wardrobes and joinery Mum and Dad had made in Nelson. So, an update on the house to date and a massive thank you to David and Stacey for another long weekends work.
Breakfast bar, a bit of a cover required to the back and 'not square' wall but - love it. Awaiting the final red stool.
Awesome laundry shelving. Looks good with the green.
Range hood and splash back. Note the wee ss screws, very funky.
Awesome new porch over the back doors. Doors removed and planed. Found the wee fancy bits at Bunnings. A bargain.
Gable reconstructed and now in the process of painting.
Like new.
What was there. Roofing iron stopped short by 50mm. A flashing and new barge now protects what is left of the timbers.
HRV and heat transfer were installed a few weeks ago. I think is a bit early for a full report but looks promising and is certainly nice to transfer the heat from the fire.
Wahoo - another blog update! The place is looking great. Is there space for a James high chair at the breakfast bar?! By the looks of wardrobe 1 - Jodie's I presume - she needs to go shopping!! Just looking at some tickets to Nana Thompson 100th Party - so may see you in July - do you have room? :-)

Hope you have all the jobs finished, I'm not bringing any work clothes with me:) also agree with Amy, Jodie we need to go on that shopping trip soon, your presence in that wardrobe is far too small! Do you need another wardrobe the same in the other corner for the rest of your clothes?
ReplyDeleteWardrobe 1 is actually Joes room, wardrobe 2 is split "70/30" according to Mark. Thanks for a lovely weekend Mark and Jodie and for giving up your bed. Hope you two and Buddy are having a nice sleep tonight.
