Saturday

Well, I wasn't going to but it seems, well.. Amy got away with it and I presume Kate won't be far behind.

I have had an awesome day, sunny and lazy, (still cold)

woke up at 11am and stuck around long enough to have breakfast and do the washing before going for coffee and a little retail therapy.
Sorry Mum..

What can I say it was sunny and I forgot to take sun glasses..

Not a brilliant photo but it will suffice.

So that was the damage for the afternoon. until I decided I may as well buy the second watch.. in YELLOW..! hehe

This is of course to help cope with the stress of linving in Chch all alone etc etc and so on...

Bargins and their respective patrons...

Now I'm the frugal type like the next man, but certainly not to the extent of leaving work an hour early or standing in line for hours to get into a clearance sale at the CBS arena.

but when you can walk right in on your way home from work....

No major scuffles and a few polite, 'excuse me's and we have ourselves a bargain..

Cutler and Co. blazer.

Had to get it.. bought with Kate and Amy in mind... something subtle and easy on the eye.

And even something classy..

So, two new suits, a much needed scarf and a good blazer, (if somewhat better for summer).

Happy Socks...!

I looked in the mail box this morning and discovered I had received my Happy Socks parcel..! (and my credit card bill, but thats not relevant)
So I was disappointed to hear the shop in Auckland I had expected to get a few pairs of these bright little numbers had closed so after just a little research i discovered the website and for half the price including shipping and conversion from USD I could have all the socks one could ever need...

So, shall be a colourful week me thinks and these definitely won't be the last of my deliveries from afar..
as all the shops worth looking at in Christchurch are closed, will be planning a trip to Wellington before too long, but in the meantime a few little things that can bring a smile will suffice.

I think Dad may like a few pairs..? :)

Cold and damp...

Today has been a very lethargic type of day...

The sun was starting to come out this morning so got dressed for a little sun and an out and about day.... alas, it was freezer as I biked to Riccarton and Addington for groceries.. I got home about lunchtime and quickly decided I was going to get bored so ventured out again, (still hadn't warmed up) so went for coffee and a walk to Addington.

When arranging my taxi's to and from recently, on the first trip I ended up having a discussion with the driver where he would become my regular driver meaning there would be no embarrassing Ford Transits show up again, I could be 2 minutes late without having a driver coming and looking for me and I can now do stops and roundabout trips on the way home as necessary, not too bad..

On the way home on Friday I picked up my watch that has been getting a new battery..

Sorry about the hand model..!

Is nothing too special, but I have found a matching one in yellow on Ebay... Kate said it was cool, so going with that at this stage..

I was not completely surprised by the latter of the two gifts Kate had left for me.. Oh, how I've missed my sisters messing with my wardrobe..

But I still love her...

Dinner of chicken and bacon with veges is cooking and smelling quite lovely.

No meeting again tomorrow afternoon so may be another lazy one... really is becoming a pattern, but next week will definitely be different..

I have a bike ride planned to the hills around here but am struggling to fin the enthusiasm but when I do will certainly try take some pictures of the city and nicer things left around here, a nice Saturday would be a good start, leaving and coming home from work in the dark cold is slightly depressing but have been to Yoga a few times more this week so that helps warm oneself..

the washing will take a few days to dry so won't need to worry about ironing for a little while.. :)

Tea and then bed...
